He has served as the chief cook and technical consultant at the Provincial Party Committee Reception Office for a long time. He has served many central leaders who came to Hunan for inspection and work, including Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Peng Dehuai, Hua Guofeng, Jiang Zemin, Hu Yaobang, Wang Zhen, Peng Zhen, and Qiao Hou, and has been highly praised. Since the 1970s, he has taken it as his responsibility to inherit the tradition and promote Hunan cuisine, and began to compile the genealogy of Hunan cuisine. After more than ten years of hard work and heat, he has written four special albums on Hunan cuisine, including "Collection of Hunan Cuisine", with nearly one million words., and be rewarded for your life.
In 1991, he was awarded the title of "Master of Hunan Cuisine" by the Hunan Provincial Government, and in 2001, he was awarded the highest honor of "Master of Chinese Cuisine" by the China Cuisine Association. He has served as a judge for cooking competitions, vice president and honorary president of the Provincial Cuisine Association, and principal of Hunan Hongda Vocational School.
Shi Yinxiang was a kind and honest man who constantly strived for excellence, a true teacher of both virtue and art. His deeds have been recorded in the "Encyclopedia of Chinese Culinary Arts", "Chinese Talents Dictionary" and "World Hall of Fame".
